Homeopathy is an effective and ‘holistic’ system of healthcare that supports your own body to heal itself. It approaches each person individually and the treatment is tailored to your specific needs. It supports your own body system to improve and reach better or full health and well being physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Homeopathy is very different from conventional medicine and it is one of the five most widely sought forms of complementary medicine for adults and children.
It was developed by a German doctor Samuel Hahnemann about 250 years ago and soon became very popular not only with patients but with many doctors and practitioners seeking a system of medicine which leads to full health, and not just the suppression and masking of symptoms of an illness.
Homeopathic medicines are remedies, not drugs, and are made from a variety of ‘natural substances’ such as plants and minerals.
Homeopathy can be used effectively by everyone, from babies and children to adults, including women during pregnancy.
Homeopathy is used by people suffering from the following:
Digestive disorders ( IBS, constipation, bloating)
Allergies ( hay fever, food allergies)
Hormonal imbalances ( PMT, period problems, menopause)
Stress and Anxiety
Depression and Mood swings
Skin problems ( eczema, acne, psoriasis)
Joint problems and circulation
Chronic sore throats and colds
Behavioural problems in children
Self confidence problems
Homeopathic remedies, unlike many drugs prescribed by doctors, save, non toxic, cannot cause side effects and you cannot become addicted to them. They are also used safely on their own or alongside conventional medicine.
Homeopaths understand that establishing good health involves treating both the mind and body, rather than concentrating on one area of the body or particular symptom. Homeopaths are looking for the cause of the illness rather then suppressing it with toxic medication which may eventually lead to more serious health issues.
A typical first appointment lasts approximately 90 minutes. The therapist will go with you through a full in depth consultation and will put together a treatment plan that most suits your symptoms and needs.
Then you will return in monthly intervals to discuss your progress. The remedies are included in the price and are posted to the client the following day.
About the therapist:
Marketa (BC, MAR, LCPH) holds amongst other therapies a diploma in homeopathy for professional health practitioners. She completed her certificate at the College of practical homeopathy in London (CPH) registered with the British Accreditation council (BAC).
She first treated her family and friends but when her son became ill with eczema and homeopathy sorted his problem out, she became even more interested and decided to study and practice homeopathy professionally.
She enrolled on a course for qualified health professionals at the CPH and studied under excellent and well recognised homeopaths including the well renowned Ellen Kramer.
Homeopathy along with several other therapies became Marketa’s passion and life path, and she is keen to help others find their way and improve their health and well being.
